Matt and Tessa first met during freshman year at Miami University (go RedHawks). Despite Matt’s reservedness, Tessa’s persistence—plus a steady attendance at Side Bar—turned a college friendship into something much more. Over the years, little hints foreshadowed what was coming: Tessa casually inviting herself to all of Matt’s date parties and joint nights out in tiny Oxford with friends that somehow felt like the start of something light-hearted, fun, and… inevitable.

After graduation, life pulled them in different directions: Tessa chased her fashion-designer dreams in New York City while Matt built his finance career at J.P. Morgan. They focused on their busy new lives, but neither could quite get the other out of their head—or out of their Snapchat memories.

A few months later, fate (and New Year’s plans) reunited them in Cleveland. They picked up like no time had passed, and three days later Matt hopped on a plane to New York. The rest is four years of adventures: family hangs, long walks, too many happy hours to count, and more laughter than should be legal.

They can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife—hopefully with slightly fewer last-minute plane tickets and just as many inside jokes.
